Case Study : Environmental Chamber

Penmann were contacted by Bath University to design and build a plant to control the temperature in a Dynamometer Test Facility to operate at any point between +40ºC and -10ºC.

The cooling was achieved using a multi compressor pack operating on R404A providing fully modulating control over the whole temperature range with direct expansion evaporators. Run and standby evaporators were used to enable defrosting.
