| CASE STUDY - BURTON'S FOODS, CWMBRAN - LIQUID PRESSURE AMPLIFICATION UPGRADE TO REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Burton's Foods had a fully air conditioned packing hall served by two direct expansion refrigeration plants installed by Penmann in 1994.
| | With the advent of the climate levy and in an ever increasing competitive business world energy savings are vitally important to our customers.
With this in mind Penmann introduced the idea of LPA (Liquid Pressure Amplification) upgrades to existing plant to enable more cost efficient operation.
Penmann were able to survey the existing plant and to put forward a proposal with a less than 2 year pay back.
The installation was ordered and successfully undertaken and therefore achieving the pay back required.
"All manufacturing industries are constantly under pressure to reduce costs, due to the nature of our products we have a large number of a/c systems installed through out the plant, many of these provided by Penmann,we have quite a long standing relationship. With the advent of the Climate Change Levy, we were looking for any savings we could get, when Penmann suggested Liquid Pressure Amplification we were certainly happy to consider it, no one else was being this pro-active, so they were the obvious choice to carry out the work, and as per usual it was done efficiently with minimum disruption and has performed reliably ever since. It's nice to work with a supplier who seems to be on the same wavelength."
