A Shared Vision Penmann and Newsome Unite for Annual Internal Conference at Department Leeds Dock
Here at Penmann, we understand that long-term success comes from more than just technical capability—it’s built on shared goals, strong relationships, and a team that believes in what it’s doing. That’s why we were proud to join forces with our colleagues at Newsome for our latest annual internal conference, hosted in the vibrant and inspiring setting of Department Leeds Dock. This joint event brought together team members from across both businesses, giving us a valuable opportunity to reflect on the past 12 months, explore shared challenges, and plan for the exciting year ahead. With private cinema facilities, breakout areas, and a collaborative atmosphere, the venue set the stage for a day of ideas, alignment, and appreciation.
Celebrating Another Year of Progress
The conference opened with presentations that reviewed the successes and milestones of the past year. From a Penmann perspective, it’s been a strong 12 months: we’ve delivered some highly technical industrial ventilation and HVAC projects across the UK, grown our service team, expanded into new sectors, and continued to prioritise innovation and customer satisfaction. Seeing those achievements recognised alongside Newsome’s own growth—particularly within rental solutions, planned maintenance, and industrial cooling—reinforced the strength and capability across both businesses.
Aligning Strategy and Strengthening Synergy
While Penmann and Newsome operate as separate entities, we are also part of the same group and share many common goals. This joint conference offered a platform to explore strategic opportunities, both individually and collectively. It allowed us to align on key areas of focus: from digital transformation and carbon-conscious design to expanding into new markets and strengthening service delivery.
Breakout sessions and cross-team workshops encouraged open dialogue and fresh thinking. Penmann engineers, project managers, sales professionals and support staff worked closely with Newsome colleagues to share insights, generate ideas and explore how we can support each other going forward.
