It was cheque handover time recently at Penmann as Andy Sharpe, Senior Fund Raiser at Simon on the Streets and Vicky Eades, Sales Director at Mansfield Pollard popped in for us to give them our donation.
How did this come about? It’s a neat little story:
Penmann’s working relationship with Mansfield Pollard goes back over 40 years and started not long after Penmann was formed. They are our main supplier for air handling units and extract canopies. We value the supplier partnership we have developed.
Mansfield Pollard operates a reward scheme for loyal customers such as ourselves and based on the volume of business we have generated together in the last 12 months we were eligible for a £1000 rebate. Happy days!
However, rather than just take the rebate we elected to donate it to a charity, matching it with a further £1000 donation.
The charity we chose is Simon on the Streets – a Homeless Charity operating across Leeds/Bradford and Huddersfield. They carry out invaluable work offering unlimited emotional and practical support for homeless and vulnerable people. We are pleased to do what we can for them.
