Those of you who follow the thoughts and updates on Linked In of our Sales and Marketing Director John Kirwin will, we hope, have noticed a recurring and consistent theme: a plea to support each other, to provide a helping hand and reach out to those less fortunate than ourselves.
When we say ‘Charity Begins at Home’, read the ‘Workplace’ in this context. The Penmann family is a tight knit team with every member vital to the success of the business. We want to make sure that everyone is supported, and we are doing everything we can to nurture each individual; particularly during these strange and challenging times.
We are fortunate to have a strong order book and many positive and exciting developments in the company as we move forward. We have had the means to add additional employment benefits for
all in addition to Workplace Pension and Private Medical insurance already in place. We have now added a Group Life Plan which provides employees with three times salary as a death in service benefit.
We have also started an Income Protection Plan which provides our employees with 80% of salary if anyone is off work with illness for 26 weeks. None of these benefits are at a cost to our team members.
We feel proud to work in an organisation with such a caring stance. But here’s how we truly feel we can make a difference to team members. Over and above the ‘traditional’ benefits mentioned above, we have taken up new benefit packages from our company insurers, UNUM.
Responding to the trials and challenges of the pandemic they have created some new and highly relevant initiatives. The ‘UNUM Life Works’ package features things like Remote GP Access, Mental health support, Physiotherapy, Perks & savings such as digital gift cards and lifestyle offers – all through an enhanced Mobile App. Genius! It’s gone down well with the team.
And there’s more – the App includes the ‘UNUM Help@Hand’ package for individual and their family members to access to five key health and wellbeing support services. All confidential and run by trained experts.
