Our commitment to Zarach includes donating funds and volunteering to support the work of this amazing charity.
This December it was the turn of Damian Kirwin and Judith Lodge to use their Penmann volunteering day to deliver beds to children who don’t have one to sleep in. Judith described their experience:
“Today Damian and I went out with Zarach, the Leeds-based charity, which provides beds and bedding to families who don’t have something which most of us would consider a basic necessity. Knowing that tonight 10 children will have somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep is great. However, also knowing that Zarach have delivered over 4,000 beds this year and that their referrals – usually from schools where the teachers see children coming in tired and hungry – have never been so high, is not so great”.
