Penmann Awarded SafeContractor Accreditation for 2025–2026
Penmann Climatic Systems Ltd is pleased to announce that the company has once again achieved SafeContractor approval, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to high standards of health and safety across all projects and operations. The new certificate, issued by Alcumus SafeContractor on 16 October 2025 (Certificate No. DQ2483), is valid until 16 October 2026 and demonstrates that Penmann continues to meet the rigorous requirements set out by the SafeContractor assessment process.
SafeContractor is a leading third-party accreditation scheme recognised across the UK construction and engineering sectors. Operated by Alcumus and accredited by UKAS under ISO17020:2012, the scheme assesses companies against the SSIP Core Criteria for health and safety management. The certification confirms that Penmann operates with robust systems for safe working, risk management, and contractor control.
Demonstrating Excellence in Safety and Management
As part of the accreditation process, Penmann provided detailed evidence of its health and safety policies, employee training records, and site management procedures. The assessment reviewed documentation such as company risk assessments, method statements, site inspection reports, and toolbox talks carried out within the past 12 months.
The company was also evaluated on its ability to subcontract responsibly and to manage and monitor subcontractors effectively. Penmann’s structured approval and monitoring process ensures that all subcontractors working under its control meet the same stringent safety and quality standards expected throughout the organisation.
Key personnel involved in maintaining health and safety compliance include Paul Dresser, Group Technical Manager, supported by Penmann’s appointed health and safety consultancy, Fletcher Associates, who provide independent audits and advisory services. Regular meetings and inspections help ensure that all procedures remain up to date and effective across project delivery teams.
