At Penmann we have always been a keen supporter of charitable initiatives. We believe strongly in the concept of helping those less fortunate than us; some who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own; others whose circumstances have not allowed them to develop their true potential.
One way we can do this is by ensuring that Penmann has a sustainable programme of ongoing donations in place. As a business we support local as well as national charities whose causes resonate with me and colleagues. John Kirwin, Commercial Director is a big advocate of helping the homeless so raising funds for BEAM fits well with his personal charitable aims of our company. BEAM receives a regular donation from us based on our sales. They use crowd funding as a means of supporting homeless people into training for stable careers.
Their current focus is on supporting people into roles facing critical shortages during the Coronavirus crisis. Our last donation has just gone to BEAM’s Emergency Coronavirus Fund and is already making a huge difference ensuring that homeless families in emergency accommodation are receiving their care packages in a matter of days!
We are lucky to be working in an industry that allows us the time and the resources to do what we can to help. Long may it continue.
