Penmann Welcomes Ansar Mahmood as Sales Engineer
Here at Penmann, we are delighted to welcome Ansar Mahmood to the team as our new Sales Engineer, bringing considerable sales, business development and HVAC industry experience to the business.
Ansar joins us from Space Ray UK, where he worked as Business Development Manager across the Midlands. Before joining Space Ray, he spent almost four years with Nortek Global HVAC as Key Account Manager and Specification Manager.
Combined with earlier sales and business development roles, Ansar brings more than 15 years of commercial experience to Penmann, with a strong track record of developing customer relationships, understanding technical requirements and identifying the right solution for each application.
Strong HVAC Industry Experience
Ansar’s recent experience within the HVAC sector will be particularly valuable in his new position. His roles with Space Ray UK and Nortek Global HVAC have given him direct experience of working with customers, consultants and other industry professionals on commercial and industrial heating requirements.
As Sales Engineer at Penmann, he will build on this experience by working with customers across our heating, cooling, ventilation and environmental control projects. Rather than simply supplying equipment, our approach starts with understanding the customer’s facility, process and the problem that needs to be solved. Ansar’s combination of technical sales knowledge and customer-facing experience makes him well suited to this approach.
More Than 15 Years in Sales and Business Development
Ansar’s commercial experience extends well beyond his recent HVAC roles. Before joining Nortek Global HVAC, he worked as an Area Sales Manager for YBS Insulation and Business Development Manager for International Decorative Surfaces. Earlier in his career, he spent more than seven years as Sales Manager with GPSK.
He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham City University. This varied background has given Ansar extensive experience in account management, business development and building long-term customer relationships.
Supporting New and Existing Penmann Customers
A major part of Ansar’s role will be working with both new and existing Penmann customers. For existing clients, he provides another experienced point of contact who understands the HVAC industry and can work with our engineering teams to identify solutions for new projects and changing site requirements.
He will also play an important role in developing new relationships and introducing more businesses to Penmann’s engineering capabilities. Ansar will work alongside our design, projects and engineering teams from the early stages of an enquiry, helping ensure that commercial discussions remain closely connected to the technical requirements of each project.
A Strong Addition to the Penmann Team
Commenting on Ansar’s appointment, Richard Metcalfe, Group Managing Director, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Ansar to Penmann. He has a great deal of commercial experience and, importantly for us, already has a strong background within the HVAC industry.
