£25,000 to £35,000 + Benefits, subject to experience

Penmann are a niche supplier of process cooling, air conditioning and ventilation services to the food manufacturing sector. Established over 40 years ago, Penmann have built up a wealth of expertise with a committed work force providing a range of innovative solutions to blue chip clients.

Due to business expansion, we are now looking for an additional HVAC Estimator to work alongside a Senior Estimator.

• To establish initial design proposals based on customer enquiries and/or Penmann surveys
• To fully cost Penmann proposals
• To prepare formal quote documentation

Ideally, the candidate would have the following skills and experience:

• Experience gained in design or estimating within air conditioning, ventilation or building service
• Highly desirable to have a working knowledge of psychometrics, fans, sheet metal fabrication/ductwork, air movement, controls and electrics
• In addition, experience of refrigeration, pumps, valves, steam, insulation, pipework and plumbing would be beneficial
• Must be literate, with good use of English language and grammar
• Must be numerate and proficient in mathematics
• A relevant engineering qualification to HNC/HND or degree level
• An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (especially Office, Excel, Word, Access). Experience of Microsoft Project and AutoCAD (or CAD viewer) would be an advantage
• A full UK car driver’s licence. Travel to supplier or customer sites anywhere in the UK may be required
