Anyone know the name of the Englishman who summited the world’s 14 highest mountains?

Ask us if we knew the answer to that question dealt with a killer blow by quizmaster Jason Perry during the last Team Penmann Quiz!

Well no, we didn’t but should have as the guy was also a Yorkshireman. A tough, resilient, determined and hugely motivated Yorkshireman! None of our Team got that answer correct. A historic fact that perhaps we should all know as we continue to live through our own historic event.

We wonder what the history books will have to say about it once it’s over and consigned to the annals of time?

In the meantime, we continue to ‘Quiz’ every week via Zoom with Team Penmann. Winner takes all and becomes the quizmaster the following week. Friday afternoon highlight on our Team calendar – Thursday this week as we will be quietly celebrating VE Day on Friday 8th.

How are you all involving your teams and promoting camaraderie during the crisis? Contact us if we can help in any way with any challenges in your food production units. Our advice is freely given during this time.

PS Answer to the first question in case you didn’t know: Alan Hinkes, OBE, completed all 14 Himalayan eight-thousanders (mountains above 8,000m in height), on 30 May 2005.
