Due to Penmann’s 45 year history of providing our expertise to UK Food Producers, when COVID-19 struck, we wanted to find a way to give back to the industry, to say thank you for your support over during these years.
We decided to give our advice, help and consultancy services on a completely free basis to help keep Food and Drinks Producers supported and fully operational during the crisis. We figured that with an increasing strain on your resources to keep up with unprecedented demand, you may have been encountering some challenges.
We were able to action our offer quite quickly by helping out local up and coming SME food business, Freaks of Nature, with help and advice on their product cooling requirements. Freaks of Nature is an entirely plant-based award-winning dessert brand, producing a range of chilled desserts and hot puddings, available in leading supermarkets.
The company were experiencing some issues around blast chilling and we were able to recommend an effective interim blast chill solution and going forward we could offer more permanent solutions when required.
