Momentous events in 1997’s UK history

Penmann - John Kirwin 25 years at Penmann

Three significant events shaped the future landscape of our country. 1997 is noted for a landslide general election victory for the Labour Party under Tony Blair; the transfer of Hong Kong, the largest remaining British colony, to China; and the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.

It was the year that I joined Penmann – perhaps not quite as historically significant in the scheme of things but a landmark event in my own career. The business landscape is of course substantially different but my role essentially remains the same:

I develop and maintain long term business relationships with key individuals working at all levels across the vital industry that is Food and Drink. That’s the part I probably enjoy the most!

I also manage the marketing function and am responsible for Commercial aspects, HR and Health & Safety. The role keeps growing as the Penmann business expands and flourishes, thanks to the support we receive from our client base; acknowledging us as the best in the industry at what we do.

Many thanks to those that have sent best wishes and congratulations. Another 25 years might be stretching the point a little!

If there is anything we can do at Penmann to help you with challenges around cooling and conditioning in your food and manufacturing unit please get in touch with me. Always worth having a chat.
