Penmann, represented by John Kirwin, took part at the recent Spring Conference. He reported back on a successful 2 day event where new business relationships were formed and information sharing facilitated.


“This was an informal day to get everyone into the swing of things before the conference proper.  Some of us were able to take part in an industry visit to Rich’s Cider, a local Somerset Cider maker.

It was great to meet some new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere over a glass of cider generously served to us during the tour!

“The SDT Spring Conference was held Food Works, Weston-Super-Mare. What a great venue and a very well-attended event with over 80 delegates present. I was pleased to share information about Penmann’s history in food/dairy and unique expertise in the rapid cooling of dairy products.

As Penmann is Clauger’s appointed agent for their Rapid Cooling Cell in the UK, this was a great opportunity to talk about this newer and more effective alternative to blast chilling, that dramatically improves cooling times. This patented Cell is revolutionising the way that dairy producers cool product.

 I also heard about some great new technologies from other companies involved in the Dairy Industry. A very worthwhile trip down south!
