A recent project at Quorn Foods has resulted in the control and elimination of troublesome condensation issues on the walls and ceiling of a high care production unit, due to moist air getting into the chiller caused by excessive steam release. Not only did we successfully resolve these issues we added additional value:
- Complex project completed with minimal production downtime
- Areas now operate dry (RH less than 50%) with good access for hygiene control
- All exhaust air odour treated
The client commented: “Penmann communicated and planned all aspects of the installation and changeover works meticulously. Their staff overcame unforeseen challenges and were very positive throughout. The quality of work and materials used was excellent.”
Penmann has significant experience in rectifying this type of common issue. In this case previous solutions attempted by others had resulted in actually making the situation worse. Our solution included an upgraded ventilation and dehumidification system which kept costs and capital outlay to the minimum.
