Final preparations for ‘AndyRunningMan’ challenge Sat 3rd July

Penmann - RunningManAndy

Since announcing his fundraising challenge for Wheatfields Hospice back in May my colleague Andy, our new business dev engineer, has spent weeks on a planned, very tough, but productive training plan. This includes crossing the odd countryside obstacle as you can see from the video!

When you have set yourself the challenge of running for a solid 24 hours you have to work to a plan and you have to be prepared to draw on every last resource at your disposal. It’s not just being physically fit, it’s also about fuelling your body appropriately, and above all setting yourself the mental determination to reach the line.

Andy has managed between 40 and 50 miles per week in all weathers but tapering off this week to a mere 5 or 6 miles pre-event. From what we have seen him eating for lunch at the office he probably has shares in a pasta manufacturer!  He’s a role model in keeping mind and body healthy to succeed in business and life.

The countdown to @Endure 24, Bramham Park, Leeds is on:

Thursday: Sports Massage

Friday: Putting the tent up

Saturday 10.45: The run gets underway

We urge you to support this challenge, as we at Penmann are all doing – still time to donate on Andy’s Just Giving page here
